Does Omega 3 support promote memory retention?

Does Omega 3 support promote memory retention?
In trials with children beside attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, omega-3 has be shown to improve concentration and slim down adhd symptomatology (in about 75% of the cases) - see www.durhamtrial.org. There own been no published studies on the effect of omega-3 on memory retention on widely held children - yet.
It is said omega 3 prevents memory loss.
Yes it does especially eyeQ, but it is vastly expensive.
The neurotransmitters in the brain requirements fat to work better to be precise why Omega 3 helps.
